The New-New Yorker Outrage
Now this is the bump heard around the world! Forget about the New Yorker Obama cover; Angelina Jolie’s baby-bump magazine spread is what should cause a public outrage. Angie and partner Brad Pitt are reportedly getting $15-20 Million for the first pictures of their new kids.
There’s something wrong in the world when multi-millionaires, get paid multi-millions just for a glimpse at their spawn! How can these magazines afford spending that much? I don’t know about you, but I usually read my celebrity mags while in the checkout line. The key is to get behind someone with a cart full of groceries, or a really old person, then you can read most of the mag for free!
Imagine if us regular folk got paid Millions for the first pictures of our kids. I would be like James Brown, spreading my seed everywhere! I would be the hardest working man not in showbusiness!

Our obsession with celebrities is crazy. The amount of time invested on Brad and Angelina is ridiculous when you consider the serious issues going on in the world.

I totally agree with you Renee, although I feel like such a hypocrite, spending the last three days on my blog, drawing/writing about Brangelina! Tommarrows blog will be about an important issue! I think!

I read that Nichole kidman and her husband are going to give the first pics of their girl for FREE!!! Thats a first. I to think its so insane that they get paid for the pics.

Actually, you were miss informed. The money they asked for is going to the charities they specified, which is como with most celebritiy baby pics. These two people give 30% of everything they make to charity. I think they should be commended for all the work they’ve done on behalf of poverty stricken countries. Including giving One million last week for the Children of Iraq. Might want to be informed before condemning.
