George Clooney Forgets Where He Came From

Dr. Ross

When ER premired in 1994, it starred a cast of relative un-known actors. Many cast departures and 15 seasons later,  the medical drama is trying to bring back some of its memorable characters for a final farewell.

Most of the original cast has signed on for a guest spot, except for the actor who shot to stardom because of the show, George Clooney.

Clooney’s people have squashed any reunion rumor saying,”He is on the record saying he is not coming back . . . It is something he has already done. He is busy making movies.”

Boy George, Don’t you realise, without being on ER, you would still be known as ‘Booker‘ from Roseanne ! Or, how about ‘that guy from The Facts of Life’?

This reminds me of a SNL ‘Weekend Update’  skit from 94′. I couldn’t find the video, so I recreated the  Norm MacDonald moment, and found the transcript. Norm said it perfectly:

The, uh, the cast of America’s hottest new show, ER, have landed themselves on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. They’re all there – the most popular bunch of actors on TV. [Norm turns to the image] There’s that guy and, uh, the other guy over there – there’s the black guy there – and the frizzy haired lady – and the – there’s that blonde doctor girl over there. There they are – America’s hottest group of actors! … [Norm nods and grins, some cheers and applause] There they are.
