Paul McCartney’s Mac Attack
We now have an answer to the age old question, “Wheres the Beef?” The beef is between staunch vegetarian, Paul McCartney, and the McDonald’s restaurant in the former Beatles hometown of Liverpool.
The spat started when the local McDonald’s used McCartney’s image in its restaurant. Believing that the fast-food chain is trying to pull a fast one, Paul has asked everyone to boycott the burger joint.
Paul’s rep says,
“It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers. Fans should boycott McDonald’s - and not just in Liverpool.”
I went to Liverpool a few years back, and Paul and the rest of the Beatles images are everywhere - from bus depots to bathrooms! If Paul wasn’t meats arch enemy, I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue!
