Separated at Birth: Adam Lambert and Elvis

adam Lambert Elvis Presley

When the contestants get narrowed down to the top 12 on American Idol is when I really start tuning in, and this year I thought AI was trying to pull a fast one on me again?!?

For a moment I thought I saw Elvis on stage and was waiting for Celine Dion to jump in there too. What was AI up to? Suspicious minds wanted to know! Turns out it wasn’t trick photography, it was actually Adam Lambert – a guy with Elvis like looks, but with the voice of Axl Rose.

Whereas Elvis had the deep emotional voice, Adam’s is high pitched; it’s kinda like watching Elvis sing if he was kicked in the groin.

Looking at Adam and Elvis together makes me feel like I’m watching ‘Kissin Cousins’, except I’m sure the openly gay Lambert would rather kiss Elvis than any of his backwoods, female cousins!  Since Elvis is the ‘King’ of Rock and Roll, I guess that makes Lambert the ‘Queen’ of Rock and Roll?

If Lambert trimmed his emo hair and grew some mutton chop sideburns, he could have a long career in Vegas! Who need ‘American Idol’?

Adam is the mutant love child of Kurt Russel and Elvis…Agree?

  2. Stanley Says:

You are so right – Kurt Russel + Elvis = Adam Lambert! Fun fact: Kurt
Russell was in an Elvis movie when he was a kid. I think it was ‘It
    Happened at the Worlds Fair’?

  3. Arun Says:

and Kurt has also played Elvis in a movie and an Elvis lookalike in another movie ;)
oh you should do a separated-at-birht post for Matt Giraud(americon idol contestant) and Muchael Buble :)

  4. Arun Says:

    pardon the typo, Michael Buble

  5. Marilyn Says:

Sandy, That is EXACTLY what I thought about Adam’s looks too!

  6. Veronica Says:

Adam is Elvis Presley’s twin that died at birth reincarnate.

  7. Mschampagne Says:

    Elvis x 3!!!

  8. Nancy Says:

I said from the beginning, that Adam Lamber looks and dances like Elvis Presley………….I really do like him, he has a humble personality….I hope he goes really far in his new singing career….he definatly deservis it….He is going to be as good as Carrie Underwood…………..you go Adam.!!!!

  9. robert m. davis Says:

LADIES AND GENTLEMENT, ELVIS HAS NOT LEFT THE BUILDING.

He’s sitting in the front row to listen ADAM.

  10. PheePhoo Says:

The only time I have seen a resemblance to Kurt Russell was at the very end of Tracks of My Tears and Adam didn’t even look like Adam at that point.

I see a resemblance to Chris Isaak and Joe Jonas but I mentioned the resemblance to Elvis months before it was even picked up on in the media.

  11. Canela Says:

Nancy, I’d be surprised if Adam doesn’t do better than Carrie Underwood. Carrie is a very good singer but her success in America is not matched internationally because her genre doesn’t sell well outside of America. Kelly (particularly) and Jordin and of course Chris Daughtrey are more successful internationally than Carrie.

  12. Susan Says:

If Adam had sung an Elvis song during American Idol, he would have brought the house down, especially with his hair in that Elvis style!!

  13. sharon Says:

You can’t compare Adam to Carrie. She’s a little bit country and he’s a lot R&R. I hate Country Music sorry!. Kelly is still my favorite female Idol winner and is still outselling CU.

  14. Laura Says:

I don’t see Kurt though I’ve heard that one before. I see Elvis really strongly. My sister who works in a nursing home took the night shift one night and the residents had on American Idol. All the residents kept saying how much he looked like Elvis. Elvis was much more a part of their generation so they would know.

  15. Jack Says:

I’ve been an Elvis fan since I was 6 years old — saw him on the Ed Sullivan show. With seeing Adam Lambert, it’s the first time that I got that same feeling of ’star power’ and charisma. Having Adam look like Elvis was just the icing on the cake. I hope his career is celestial. Adam, give ‘em hell and make Elvis proud!
