2008 was the year of the stache, with celebrities like Brad Pitt and George Clooney looking like the Beatles circa 1969.

Well, now Prince William has gone a step further by sporting a beard. The royal heir has apparently grown the facial hair to offset his increasingly thinning crown. I wonder if girlfriend Kate Middleton likes William’s ‘Grizzly Adams’ phase?

It seems like just yesterday Prince William was the leading royal heartthrob, while Prince Harry was the awkward red-headed stepchild. But now Harry is the one getting all the attention, while William continues to transform into a modern Chris Elliot.

 Starting Monday Prince William joins the Royal Navy. William will join the HMS Iron Duke  as a junior officer.

After his macho-man escapades in an Air Force helicopter last month, the Navy said that the Prince would not receive any special treatment. William and his fellow seamen will be in the West Indies on hurricane relief and counter-narcotics patrol.

One person who hopes Will doesnt get see any action, is girlfriend Kate Middleton. The poor girl has been waiting for Will to propose for years. Now she has to hope her young man, doesn’t get disco cabin fever.

My advice for Kate: Ignorance is bliss. Don’t ask, and William wont tell!

With Prince Harry returning from Afghanistan’s front-lines a “Hero”,  Prince William, is itching for a little war action. In an interview Harry revealed that his brother was “jealous” of his deployment and said: “I know he’d love to – whether it’s on the ground or whether it’s 15,000ft up, bombs strapped to the wings, . . . I know he would love to come out here.” Being the second in line to the throne, you know if Will was in any sort of danger they would have him retreat faster than his receding hairline! The real loser in this whole situation is longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton. William has already kept her a bride in waiting for years now. First he told her that he didn’t want to be married until he was older and now you know he’s probably feeding her lines like “before I can love someone else, first I need to learn how to love myself, . . . and kill the Taliban.” It may be more realistic for Will’s to just be a Buckingham Palace guard!
