Gretta Monahan Should Take Over Rachael Rays Show!

I dabbled in a bit of self-torture today, yes, I watched an entire Rachael Ray episode. Luckily on this episode Rachael’s “Buddie”, Gretta Monahan, did a lengthy fashion segment. It dawned on me during the fashion piece that Gretta is a far better host than Rachael!

Gretta was genuinely engaging and fun, and unlike Rachel, did not talk about herself at every opportunity. But the best thing though, is Gretta pleasing voice! Yes – there’s a slight  Long Islandy accent, not anywhere near Fran Drescher, mind you,  and I have yet to hear Gretta say EVOO, or any such too-cute nonsense!

Give Gretta her own show, or better yet, Rachael show!

Rachael Ray will lose her Voice – For Two Weeks!

Sometimes, like in the ‘John Edwards affair scandal’, the National Enquirer  is accurate; this unfortunately is not one of their true scoops!

The tabloid reported that Rachael Ray will be unable to speak for two months following throat surgery. That’s a 60 day celebration in my book! But, alas, Ray Ray will only be out for two weeks at best, once a benign node is removed from her voice box.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish anything bad to happen to Rachael, its just, her raspy, harsh voice is so abrasive it would even get under Louie Armstrong’s skin! “Cough it up!”, I always want to yell at the screen.
