Kris Allen Wins American Idol

Kris Allen, the dark-horse contestant, is the winner of American Idol season 8! I had a feeling Allen was going to win all day, and my gut instinct was right.
Kris beat out the judge-gushing front runner, Adam Lambert. I liked them both, but Adam’s high pitched notes to nowhere were starting to get annoying. It was like listening to a cat in heat.
I’m sure the ‘Gokey Factor‘ played heavily into Allen’s win. That is, most of Danny Gokey’s fans switched to Kris Allen, once Gokey was eliminated.
