The Pregnant Man

Thomas Beatie, a transgender male who is pregnant, has made quite a splash around news outlets claiming to be the first pregnant man. I don’t mind if she he and his wife want to have a child, but what does irritate me is how many in the media are touting this as a medical breakthrough. Many are acting as if Thomas was genetically born a man. Oprah was gushing at her him like it was a new species of humanoid when in fact Thomas had his her boobs cut off and has been taking testosterone.
If having facial hair makes you a man, then wouldn’t Frida Kahlo be the first pregnant man?
